A digital imaging technology leader for over two decades. At UC Berkeley he designed the particle detector ICs CERN used in the discovery of the Higgs Boson. At Rockwell International he developed the imaging chips behind the first cell phone cameras and the first broadcast-quality HD CMOS image sensors — spun out as Pictos Inc. and what is now part of JVC Kenwood. He holds 6 US patents, 50+ inventions, an MBA from USC Marshall, and the R&D100 and Wall Street Journal innovation awards.
